Panic Attacks
Panic attacks again come from a feeling of threat and being unsafe. Many people I have seen say that it is actually the fear of having another panic attack which cause them to have another panic attack, then the place that they had the attack in is subconsciously linked to the extreme fear of panic attacks. So when ever they go to that place again it automatically brings on the same feelings.
**For those who don't know. A panic attack is a natural response of the human body. Imagine this; an animal in the wild is being chased by a predator, in order for it to escape so fast, its body needs to prepare. So it increases its heart rate to pump more blood around the body to prepare for running. Breathing increases to carry more oxygen into the increased blood supply, its mind becomes sharper to focus on the act of escaping. All this happens in an instant and the animal is able to try to escape faster. Once the danger is over then everything returns to normal as fast as it changed.
**A panic attack is exactly the same as the mechanism described, but with one difference...the human is only facing an imaginary threat, so the body gets confused and goes into another feedback loop and doesn't return to normal like the animal does.
