About Us

Please note - I am now taking bookings for people in the Norwich area for Thursdays only. There are limited slots so please book now.

Mark was trained at the School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy. He trained there extensively for three years, covering every subject, theory and many different techniques relating to psychological issues and hypnotherapy.

This training has enabled Mark to give a more complete and holistic approach to therapy using counselling, hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT. Many counsellors out there are just trained in counselling, and even just one style of counselling....of which there are many. Mark believes this is very restricting for the client and himself as a therapist.

Mark's own experiences with depression and negative thinking began when he was 17. He was quite shy, and was always concerned about what people thought of him. This feeling seemed to get worse,   and he eventually ending up in becoming agoraphobic (fear of gong outside the house). Just walking down the street was traumatic, for he feared people were looking at him. Even when he tried to socialise with friends, the constant fear that they were judging him, or laughing at him caused him to not go out again for 2 years. He never told anyone about this, his parents didn't know what was going on, and therefore didn't understand. Eventually after reading countless books on psychology to try to understand, he slowly recovered. And then decided to take up hypnotherapy to give other people the chance to talk to someone, and recover from what ever it is that holds them back.

Mark is able to draw on his own experiences with depression and negative thinking, which enables him to understand you as a client, what it is you need, and to empathise deeply with what ever it is you are feeling or need. Mark can see beyond the so called negative feelings and behaviours to the real amazing person inside you.

More recently Mark has begun working within the family department of a local solicitors firm, providing evaluations and reports for court hearings of various individuals and domestic situations. These range from lengthy evaluations of individuals seeking contact with their children to ascertain whether they are capable of sustaining any changes to their behaviour, so that no harm will come to the child, and then the preparation of a detailed court report stating my thoughts and recommendations.....to doing “pro-bono” work for women who have been adversely affected by acts of violence within the home, helping them overcome suicidal thoughts and gaining their self confidence back.

Within the solicitors firm he is also working with couples, whether divorced or trying to repair a relationship...to enable them to work towards a better understanding of each other to ensure their relationship succeeds, or just simply to help divorced couples resolve disputes and anger that is causing serious distress to their children, and preventing each other from leading “normal” lives.
